At La Hoya, we are warm glass artists, employing kilns to heat glass to varying temperatures to achieve desired (and sometimes surprising!) results. Our work is typically fired between 1250 degrees and 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.
We are proud to have six Paragon glass kilns. Paragon is the premier manufacturer of kilns, located just a few miles away from our studio in Mesquite, Texas. Our kilns include:
Our artists use Bullseye glass -- the artist's glass of choice. Located in Portland, Oregon, Bullseye has been a pioneer in developing glass for artists, and is known for its reliability and performance in the kiln, as well as consistency and variety of colors.
